Come In, If You’d Like
A gentle invitation to pause, reflect, and carry a little light
Last week, I began In the In-Between … in that uncertain space between what has been and what has not yet revealed about itself.
This week, I thought I might open the door a little wider and tell you what I hope this space will become.
Come in, if you’d like.
There is no need to knock or arrive with answers.
You do not need to have everything figured out. I certainly don’t.
Simply bring whatever you are carrying - the questions, the memories, the laughter, the weariness, the hope.
There is room for all of it here.
I find myself arriving here in the space between what was and whatever comes next.
I come as a teacher, a leader, a mother, a learner, a keeper of stories - and always, a seeker of light.
For much of my life, I have written to understand what I was experiencing. Sometimes the words came easily. Sometimes they waited quietly, tucked away until I was ready to find them.
Now, I am beginning to open those tucked-away places.
This space will hold reflections on leadership and life, poetry and stories, gentle questions and melting moments. There will be humor too, because even the hardest seasons contain moments that make us laugh - sometimes when we least expect it.
There will be paradoxes, because life is filled with them.
We can be grateful and grieving.
Hopeful and tired.
Certain of who we are and unsure of where we are going.
We can stand still while something within us continues to move.
Perhaps that is part of what it means to live honestly; not forcing every experience into a neat conclusion, but allowing ourselves to notice what is present.
I do not come here as someone who has all the answers. I come as someone willing to sit beside the questions.
To look again.
To listen more closely.
To notice the light that remains, even when the path ahead is not yet clear.
I hope this becomes a place where we can pause together - a place for truth, gently told.
Take a moment.
Read a reflection.
Pause for a while.
And perhaps carry a little light with you when you leave.
May we enter this week without needing to know exactly where it will lead.
May we make room for what is unfinished, listen for what is quietly unfolding, and trust the light we already carry.
Onward, forward, lightward.
Come in, if you’d like.
You are welcome here.
Onward. With light,
Fran
