In the In Between

Where two truths can coexist

There are seasons we recognize before they arrive. Something in the light changes. The mornings feel different. Familiar rhythms begin again. People gather, doors open, calendars fill, and another beginning quietly announces itself. And then there are seasons when we find ourselves just outside the usual rhythm. Close enough to recognize it. Close enough to feel it pull. Yet standing somewhere different. Change can arrive loudly. But sometimes it simply changes where we are standing.

Seasons change, sometimes before we are ready. Familiar rhythms continue while we find ourselves standing somewhere different … close enough to remember, yet far enough to notice the change.

The in-between can feel raw, yet hopeful. Still, yet moving. Uncertain, yet open. Perhaps we need not rush to resolve these contradictions. Two truths can coexist while something quietly shifts within us.

Perhaps the in between has a rhythm of its own.

The path curves.

The light remains.

And we move gently forward.

Onward. With light,

Fran
